The elder, though very stupid, noticed this, and would have given, without regret, all her beauty, for half the sense of her sister. Discreet as she was, the Queen could not help often reproaching her with her stupidity, which made the poor Princess ready to die of grief.,A moment later Mr. Whitney was beside him, an expression on his face which the boy could not fathom.
